In 2002 Raina Kabaivanska set up a fund at New Bulgarian University as continuation of here charitable activities in Bulgaria. The aim of the Fund is to bring together art connoisseurs willing to support young talents in need. 

The Raina Kabaivanska Fund awards national and international grants for opera singing. The number and amount of the grants are determined by Raina Kabaivanska in person, at the beginning of each academic year, during her Master Class at New Bulgarian University.

The fund is formed by Raina Kabaivanska's personal donnations, with financial and administrative support from New Bulgarian University, from sponsorship and donnations from Bulgarian and foreign citizens, as well as through project funding from national and international organizations.

The fund is supported by the NBU Board of Trustees as part of the University art and education development projects. 

With your donations you can contribute to: 

Professional specialization in Italy, with Raina Kabaivanska herself; tuition is free of charge, and the grant amount depends on the period of stay and the amount of travel. 

One year of study in Bulgaria: 1000 Euro 

Study at art academies abroad: 2000 Euro

Participation in Raina Kabaivanska's Master Class at New Bulgarian University: 250 Euro

Amounts covering: travel expenses and accommodation during the Master Class in Sofia; music materials; payment for rehearsal pianist.
